A smuggler, also known as a coyote, form Mexico stands next to migrants from Guatemala as they comfort each other after the group nearly drowned while attempting to cross the Rio Grande River into Eagle Pass, Texas, U.S. Included in their group had been Rossana Azucena Coché Navichoc, 25, and her fiancé Widman Alexander Tax Chinic, 26, who were swept downstream by the rushing current and later found dead, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, February 24, 2024.
